Industry review eligibility

Industry applicants who wish to contribute are required to read and adhere to our stringent guidelines below. All candidates will go through an approval process. Applications are accepted throughout the year. This is to maintain absolute integrity and transparency for our users.

Key values

Insight: We welcome both positive reviews and objective criticism but ask this to be kept straight to the point. We look for engaging content that has a distinct voice and offers perspective on beauty that the average user would not necessarily have.

Audience: Our intention is to reflect and represent the honest and objective truth of the efficacy of beauty products. To cultivate a rich, varied, and inclusive space for engaging perspectives and debate, we seek experts who reach a wide audience, but also those who reviews serve underrepresented groups.

Quality: Reviews should observe grammatical rules and demonstrate clarity and structure, whether approved by an editorial staff or self-published.

Dedication: We recognize that there are varying degrees of output among experts. We look for overall consistency and demonstrated commitment to the field

We expect industry applicants to honour journalistic integrity and observe ethical behaviour. We do not tolerate plagiarism, harassment, obvious trolling, discrimination, or other breaches of conduct across all platforms. Those who perform any of the aforementioned will have their profile and any former contributed content removed immediately from the site.

In some cases, even if a critic or publication does not meet the eligibility guidelines listed above, we may consider them for approval if we believe their inclusion will benefit the utility of the ON Beaute® and its audience.

In all cases, ON Beaute® maintains the right to approve, reject, include, exclude and remove critics, reviews and publications on a case-by-case basis at any time.

From time to time we change our guidelines, and there may be individuals or publications who are still included that may not meet the current set of guidelines. We can not guarantee a response time on applications. If your application is declined, you may reapply after one year.
